Guidelines For Writers
Please follow these guidelines to make both our lives and yours easier.
Your Stories
Stories should be between 3000 and 6000 words.
Stories should be in Standard Manuscript Format. If you don't know what that is, please read this page carefully.
Summary:
a) Use a fixed space font such as Courier New
b) Left align
c) Double spacing, indented paragraphs, no blank line between paragraphs
d) Underline words you want to appear in italics
e) We won't require a header on each page.
Your Submission
All stories to be sent as attachments in .rtf (Rich Text Format). Do not embed stories in e-mails.
Please make the subject of your submission as follows: Sub - [your name]
E-mail submissions to [email protected]
You can also post enquiries to the same address with the subject line Enquiry or use our contact form.
In your cover letter, please include: story title and word count, your contact info, a short bio of no more than 100 words and any other relevant information, such as whether you wish to use a pen name.
The Selection Process
We hope to publish Terminal Earth towards the end of 2010. Deadline for stories to be submitted is: March 15th, 2010. Rejection/hold/acceptance notices will be posted as soon as possible, most likely after 4-6 weeks. If you haven't heard back from us after 8 weeks, please contact us.
Also, do keep an eye on our editors' blog where we'll post slush pile stats as well as indicators of subjects we are getting tired of seeing...or that we would like to see attempted.
